Reinstalling PixEdit Server / Converter Server (Without Losing Configuration)
Instructions for Uninstalling and Reinstalling PixEdit Server
Step 1: Uninstall PixEdit Server
- Open the Control Panel on the server.
- Select Programs and Features (or Add or Remove Programs, depending on your Windows version).
- Find PixEdit Server in the list of installed programs and uninstall it.
Step 2: Backup Required Files
- Navigate to
C:\docserver and copy jobprofiles.xml to a temporary storage location.
- Go to
C:\program files\PixEdit Server\inputconnector and copy inputconfigurations.config to the same storage location.
Step 3: Clean Existing Files
- Delete the contents of
C:\docserver.
- Delete the entire PixEdit Server folder under
C:\program files, including all subdirectories.
Step 4: Reinstall PixEdit Server
- Download the latest installation file for PixEdit Server from our download page or a recommended source.
- Run the installer and complete the installation by following the instructions.
Step 5: Restore Backed-Up Files
- After the installation is complete, copy the backed-up files back to their original locations:
- Copy jobprofiles.xml to
C:\docserver.
- Copy inputconfigurations.config to
C:\program files\PixEdit Server\inputconnector.
Step 6: Verify Services
- Open Services in Windows by typing
services.msc in the Run window.
- Check that all PixEdit services are created and running as expected.
